North Richmond Ward Crimes for May 2025.

There were 18 crimes of note in North Richmond in May.

 

Recorded crime in May is as follows: - 

 

  • 2 business burglaries 
  • 7 thefts from motor vehicles - Entry normally gained by smashing windows. 
  • 1 theft of motor vehicle - Primarily occur overnight.
  • 2 thefts of bicycles - Primarily occur overnight.
  • 2 thefts of parcels - Stolen from doorsteps.
  • 4 thefts from person - Cash and debit cards targeted; primarily by means of distraction by ATMs. (Comms on this to follow).

    General messages on theft from and of vehicles are not leave valuable items in an unattended vehicle especially never leave bags on display as thieves will enter a vehicle hoping they contain something valuable. It is important to double check if cars are left locked and secure as well as making sure there is sufficient lighting around the vehicles at night as well as making sure that keyless vehicles have keys left far away from the vehicle or even better placed in a key signal blocking device. 

     

     

    NEXT POLICE LIAISON GROUP (PLG) MEETING:

    The next PLG meeting 25th of June 2025 – 7pm at Old Deer Park; Dragon suite.

     

    It is your chance to meet the local Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers who will provide updates on local crimes and policing issues. You also will be able to question the SNT and have a real input in the way that North Richmond is policed.  Local councillors also attend.
